BIOGRAPHY

rurururu Ukeru
UkeruChan said, “People live for Ukeru.” Painting, clay, iron crafts... He inherited the spirit of valuing things from his strict father who loved to make things. He has been designing flyers and other materials for music events since he was a teenager, experiencing the joy of entertaining others. He still works as a graphic designer in Hiroshima, and the words and shape he arrived at are the character "Ukeru-chan." He realized that the Japanese word “Ukeru” has many meanings, such as "funny," "interesting," "cute," "fun," "popular," "prosperous," "enjoy," and "accept a challenge," and is a wonderful word that makes people feel positive. He wants to make the word “Ukeru” universal, and make people stay positive. With such a single-minded focus, he has been enjoying himself positively while developing the character “Ukeru-chan” into various items such as stickers, candies, picture books, and slides, and continues to spread “Ukeru” around the world. This activity itself is a form of art. What he wants to create is a fun atmosphere, and that is the “Ukeru World.”
